Background 

The 2021 Asia-Pacific Vitreo-retina Society (APVRS) Congress was held during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, when international travel restrictions and social distancing measures made traditional in-person conferences impossible. To ensure continuity of academic exchange and global participation, the organizing committee made the strategic decision to transition the congress into a fully virtual format for the first time. 

This shift introduced new challenges in content presentation, user experience, and information accessibility for a large-scale, international medical congress.
